Classy Pieces 13, 14 from Virtual Quilter

I started tis project file when I was asked to show how I played my favourite game …

… virtual quilt designing.

I have had Electric Quilt since EQ5, and it is now EQ8, and love it. I started this blog simply to encourage others to keep asking themselves the question I ask myself … “What if …?”

What id I change the background colour, just a little bit or a lot? I prefer the little bits I changed for the first one. I also love the butterfly.

Classy Pieces 11, 12 from Virtual Quilter

Cheerful colours, interesting design.

This project file was started while demonstrating at a quilt exhibition a few years ago. I selected some blocks, added colours, then started designing quilts. Spent more time talking to friends old and new than concentrating on playing with the blocks, but did spend some time talking about the Electric Quilt program and what is can do with those who wanted more information. I was looking for something different in the colour scheme for this project file, and I am surprised at how well purple, yellow and green work together.

Classy Pieces 1, 2, and Sampler from Virtual Quilter

This project was started when I did a demonstration ages ago, and started as many of my projects did … I selected a random collection of blocks from the Electric Quilt Library.

Then I started playing! I have since tidied up the designs I saved half done, with blocks facing the wrong way, and even blank spaces … I have trained myself to save often, but when demonstrating and people stop to chat I tend to get a little distracted.

Sometimes I save at just the right time, and the design above was one I didn’t have to edit!
